The Tullow Group of Parishes is a Church of Ireland parish in the Diocese of Cashel, Ferns and Ossory.
The parish group consists of four churches:
St Columba’s Church, Tullow
Shillelagh Church
St. Michael’s Church, Aghold
Mullinacuffe Church.
The parish stretches from scenic East Carlow to South Wicklow. Nestled between the towns of Tullow and Shillelagh are the churches of Aghold and Mullinacuffe.

MU Opening Service
Tuesday 10th September: On Tuesday evening 10th September 2024, at 7.30pm Tullow MU will host their Opening Service in St Columba’s Church, Tullow. The branch will also be celebrating 120 years of MU in Tullow. Everyone is welcome to join with them for the service and refreshments will be served after. Congratulations to all Tullow members on this fantastic milestone.

A fantastic day of wreath-making took place at St. Columba’s School as a fundraiser for the parish. A heartfelt thanks to Flower on 4 Acres for leading the class. It was a lovely day, and many beautiful wreaths found their way home!
Retirement of Alec Paton as Tullow Treasurer
Tullow Parish recently made a presentation to their parochial treasurer, Alec Paton who retired after 52 years as treasurer of the parish. Alec has been a member of the select vestry for the last 68 years and has been involved in the appointment of the last 6 rectors !! Canon Young, Canon Sherwood, Canon Oxley, Rev Ritchie, Archdeacon Orr and most recently Canon O’Rourke.
Members and friends of the vestry along with Bishop Michael Burrows and Canon Brian O’Rourke met in The Riverbank Restaurant, Tullow on Friday 27th September 2019 . On behalf of the parish Hazel Corrigan thanked everyone for coming to acknowledged the huge contribution Alec has given to St Columba’s Parish. Hazel mentioned many of the fundraisers and major projects that he has overseen over the years….inc building a new rectory, re roofing the church and restoring the church tower. Bishop Burrows acknowledged with gratitude and appreciation the amazing contribution that Alec has given to the parish over the years.
Alec was presented with a drawing of St. Columba’s Church, Tullow by the Rector, Canon Brian O’Rourke. The vestry commissioned his granddaughter, Rachel to complete the drawing. William Codd also presented Alec with a Gift Voucher. To end off the evening Alec cut the cake – thanks was extended to Emila Corrigan and Daphne Codd who made and decorated the cake.
